Ronkonkoma station is a commuter rail hub located in Suffolk County, New York, USA. It is a major station on the Long Island Rail Road's Main Line and serves as a connection hub for commuters travelling between New York City, Long Island, and the eastern end of the Island. The station is located in the hamlet of Ronkonkoma, which is part of the Town of Brookhaven.
The station consists of three tracks, two platforms, and a pedestrian overpass. The station also has a small parking lot and a taxi stand. Ronkonkoma station is the easternmost station on the Main Line that has direct connections to New York Penn Station and is one of only two stations on Long Island that are located in a downtown area - the other being Patchogue.
In addition to passenger rail service, Ronkonkoma station also serves as a freight terminal for the New York & Atlantic Railway, which operates the rail lines on Long Island.
